Senior Accountant - Small Business Department

The Senior Accountant will personally complete work that requires additional knowledge, expertise and discretion and will occasionally delegate to and review the work of assigned employees. The Senior Accountant will contribute to the overall success of the Firm by developing a thorough understanding of methodologies and tools to provide quality client service, challenging traditional procedures used in the past and recommending new approaches.
Duties Include:
- Prepare individual, corporate, partnership and other returns.
- Assist clients with their internal accounting systems, accounting policies and procedures, and fill-in for client accounting staff when needed.
- Become familiar with and develop tax planning techniques.
- Manage job segments effectively, use staff efficiently, and meet time/budget estimates.
- Develop and expand knowledge of the overall business environment, especially about industries in which you have clients.
Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting , Finance or other related field plus at least two years of public accounting experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Possess effective technical knowledge related to work engagements.

Excellent organizational, problem solving, critical/analytical thinking, written and oral communication, interpersonal and computer skills.

Demonstrated understanding and proper application of rules, regulations and codes of conduct of relevant governing bodies (ie: State Boards of Accountancy, IRS, AICPA, PICPA, etc).

Seasonal Tax Preparers and Reviewers

We are currently seeking experienced tax preparers and reviewers for tax season beginning in January 2011 and ending in April-May 2011.
Duties include:
- Preparing individual, corporate, partnership and other returns as well as preparing tax work papers.
- The Seasonal Tax Reviewer duties include reviewing individual, corporate, partnership and other returns.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or other related field.
- At least two years of tax preparation or review experience in public accounting.
- Demonstrated understanding and proper application of rules, regulations and codes of conduct of relevant governing bodies (ie: IRS, AICPA, PICPA, State Boards of Accountancy, etc.)

Tax and Accounting Services Manager

We are currently seeking a full time Tax and Accounting Services (TAS) Manager.
The TAS Manager will delegate to and review the work of assigned employees in addition to personally completing work that requires additional knowledge, expertise and discretion. The TAS Manager will collaborate with the Practice Area Leader to develop and direct the activities of the practice area and to form working relationships that will develop new business for the firm. The TAS Manager will contribute to the overall success of the Firm by imparting knowledge to staff about methodologies and tools to provide quality client service, challenging traditional procedures used in the past and recommending new approaches
Duties include:
- Identify and resolve complex issues effectively, both within and outside the scope of assignments.
- Maintain knowledge of the overall business environment, especially about industries in which you have clients.
- Maintain a high level of expertise in one or more specialized areas/industries and perform effectively in those as well as many other areas.
- Prepare complex client and other correspondence including recommendations, technical issues, proposals, and articles.
- Motivate, develop and coach staff according to firm principles.
- Provide staff with honest, objective and constructive feedback in a timely manner, participate in the formal employee review process, and be accessible to staff when they have questions and concerns.
- Manage multiple engagements effectively, use staff efficiently, and meet time/budget estimates.
- Prepare invoices to clients, communicate details of fees to clients and assist in the collection of overdue accounts.
- Effectively identify and deliver cross-selling opportunities to clients.
- Develop networking relationships with clients and non-clients.
- Prepare, direct, supervise and review the preparation of workpapers, individual, corporate, partnership and other returns.
- Assist clients with their internal accounting systems, and accounting policies and procedures.
- Review workpapers and financial statements before submission to Director.
- Draft quality reports, including compiled and management-use only financial statements.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting , Finance or other related field plus at least four years of public accounting experience or relevant experience as it relates to Practice Area; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in good standing.
- Possess effective technical knowledge related to work engagements.
- Excellent organizational, problem solving, critical/analytical thinking, written and oral communication, interpersonal and computer skills.
- Demonstrated understanding and proper application of rules, regulations and codes of conduct of relevant governing bodies (ie: State Boards of Accountancy, IRS, AICPA, PICPA, etc).
- Must be able to travel to client locations both locally and regionally.

International Tax Accountant

We are seeking a full time International Tax Accountant.
The International Tax Accountant will contribute to the overall success of the Firm by developing a thorough understanding of methodologies and tools to provide quality client service, challenging traditional procedures used in the past and recommending new approaches.
Duties include:
- Prepare clear and concise work papers with definitive conclusions.
- Take responsibility for planning, budgeting and staffing engagements.
- Effectively diagnose problems, and develop and implement solutions for clients' international tax needs.
- Identify client needs and new business opportunities (for existing and potential clients) and make recommendations to engagement Manager/Director for appropriate additional services.
- Develop networking relationships with clients and non-clients.
- Perform tax research, assist with formulating tax-planning strategies and prepare forms 5471, 5472 and other applicable forms.
- Calculate foreign corporate and personal tax credits.
- Advise U.S. and foreign multinational companies on the tax implications of their international operations as well as coordinating U.S. tax laws with foreign tax laws to develop an optimal worldwide tax strategy.
- Support the Tax Department with non-international tax work as necessary.
Education and Experience Requirements:
