  • Per Diem Payroll Professional

    The Per Diem Payroll Professional will personally complete assigned work that assists accounting staff and that requires knowledge in basic accounting/bookkeeping.  The Payroll Professional will contribute to the overall success of the Firm by developing a thorough understanding of methodologies and tools to provide quality client service, challenging traditional procedures used in the past and recommending new approaches.

    Duties and Responsibilities:·        
    • Identify problems and issues, and keep the In-Charge informed of engagement status.
    • Identify client needs and new business opportunities (for existing and potential clients) and make recommendations to In-Charge for appropriate additional services       
    • Perform diversified assignments within specified time frames and budgets.
    • Provide support to clients and other staff in all aspects of payroll related functions.
    • Prepare numerous and varied quarterly and annual payroll tax returns.
    • Prepare limited work papers with definitive conclusions.
    • Identify and resolve issues effectively, both within and outside the scope of assignments.
    • Obtain knowledge of the overall business environment.
    • Effectively utilize technology to complete assignments.
    • Stay current on new methodologies and practices as relevant to your assignments.
    • Adhere to firm principles, policies, procedures and relevant governing bodies.
    • Demonstrate professionalism through appearance and behavior.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Education and Experience

    • Associates degree in Accounting , Finance or other related field and at least one year of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Basic accounting/bookkeeping skills are preferable.
    • Demonstrated understanding and proper application of payroll practices and procedures.
    • Excellent organizational, problem solving, critical/analytical thinking, written and oral communication, interpersonal and computer skills.
    • Proficient in accounting/payroll software programs and Microsoft Office.
    • Demonstrated understanding and proper application of rules, regulations and codes of conduct of relevant governing bodies (ie: State Boards of Accountancy, IRS, AICPA, PICPA, etc).
     
  • Quality Control Manager

    We are currently seeking a full time Quality Control Manager.

    The Quality Control Manager will review the firm’s internal processes to ensure compliance with relevant regulatory agencies.  The Quality Control Manager will contribute to the overall success of the Firm by imparting knowledge to staff about methodologies and tools to provide quality client service, challenging traditional procedures used in the past and recommending new approaches.

    Duties include:

    • Demonstrate a high level of technical proficiency.
    • Identify and resolve complex issues effectively, both within and outside the scope of assignments.
    • Maintain a high level of expertise in compliance and internal control.
    • Prepare complex correspondence including recommendations, technical issues, and articles.
    • Stay current on new methodologies, practices and legal matters as relevant to your assignments, maintain proficiency in those areas and determine and communicate the impact of them to employees, clients and referral sources.
    • Actively provides on-the-job training to staff.
    • Motivates, develops and coaches staff according to firm principles.
    • Provide staff with honest, objective and constructive feedback in a timely manner, participate in the formal employee review process, and be accessible to staff when they have questions and concerns.
    • Develop networking relationships with clients and non-clients.
    • Review financial statements, compare to accounting standards and make any necessary adjustments.
    • Review reports and work papers for accuracy and consistency.
    • Manage and conduct the firm’s internal audit process.
    • Monitor the firm’s quality control documents and processes and continually review/revise as necessary.
    • Communicate current industry and accounting issues within the firm.
    • Monitor and maintain the firm’s compliance with relevant licensing authorities, conduct research as necessary.

    Education and Experience Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting , Finance or other related field plus at least four years of public accounting experience or relevant experience as it relates to Practice Area; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
    • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in good standing.
    • Possess effective technical knowledge related to work engagements.
    • Excellent organizational, problem solving, critical/analytical thinking, written and oral communication, interpersonal and computer skills.
    • Demonstrated understanding and proper application of rules, regulations and codes of conduct of relevant governing bodies (ie: State Boards of Accountancy, IRS, AICPA, PICPA, etc).
    • Must possess extensive knowledge of GAAP and GAAS.
    • Must be able to travel to client locations both locally and regionally.

    The A&A Manager will delegate to and review the work of assigned employees in addition to personally completing work that requires additional knowledge, expertise and discretion.  The A&A Manager will collaborate with the Practice Area Leader to develop and direct the activities of the practice area and to form working relationships that will develop new business for the firm. The A&A Manager will contribute to the overall success of the Firm by imparting knowledge to staff about methodologies and tools to provide quality client service, challenging traditional procedures used in the past and recommending new approaches

    Duties include:

    • Identify and resolve complex issues effectively, both within and outside the scope of assignments.
    • Maintain knowledge of the overall business environment, especially about industries in which you have clients.
    • Maintain a high level of expertise in one or more specialized areas/industries and perform effectively in those as well as many other areas.
    • Prepare complex client and other correspondence including recommendations, technical issues, proposals, and articles.

    • Prepare corporate, partnership, individual, and other tax returns as needed.

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting , Finance or other related field plus at least four years of public accounting experience or relevant experience as it relates to Practice Area; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
    • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in good standing.

  • International Tax Supervisor

    We are seeking a full time International Tax Supervisor.

    The International Tax Supervisor will delegate to and review the work of assigned employees in addition to personally completing work that requires additional knowledge, expertise and discretion.  The International Tax Supervisor will contribute to the overall success of the Firm by developing a thorough understanding of methodologies and tools to provide quality client service, challenging traditional procedures used in the past and recommending new approaches.

     Duties include:

    • Prepare clear and concise work papers with definitive conclusions.
    • Take responsibility for planning, budgeting and staffing engagements.
    • Effectively diagnose problems, and develop and implement solutions for clients' international tax needs.
    • Identify client needs and new business opportunities (for existing and potential clients) and make recommendations to engagement Manager/Director for appropriate additional services.
    • Develop networking relationships with clients and non-clients.
    • Perform complex tax research, formulate tax-planning strategies and prepare forms 5471, 5472 and other applicable forms.
    • Calculate foreign corporate and personal tax credits.
    • Advise U.S. and foreign multinational companies on the tax implications of their international operations as well as coordinating U.S. tax laws with foreign tax laws to develop an optimal worldwide tax strategy.
    • Support the Tax Department with non-international tax work as necessary.

    Education and Experience Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting , Finance or other related field plus at least three years of public accounting experience or relevant experience as it relates to Practice Area; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
    • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in good standing.
    • Possess effective technical knowledge related to work engagements.
    • Excellent organizational, problem solving, critical/analytical thinking, written and oral communication, interpersonal and computer skills.
    • Demonstrated understanding and proper application of rules, regulations and codes of conduct of relevant governing bodies (ie: State Boards of Accountancy, IRS, AICPA, PICPA, etc).

    Travel to local and international locations may be required.

    The International Tax Supervisor will help multi-national clients integrate tax planning into their overall business strategy to comply with both United States and international regulatory requirements.
