Kelly Fisher is an International Tax Manager for Elko & Associates Ltd, her specialties and focus include technology, software, and international businesses. Kelly understands the ins and outs of accounting practices both in the U.S and abroad. She works with clients who want to expand their business across continents and consults objectively to help them better understand the risks and opportunities of doing business transnationally, ultimately helping them make better decisions before they jump in. Kelly’s recent work includes working with a manufacturer/distributor on setting up a subsidiary in Brazil, as well as advising a non-profit organization on setting up a for profit subsidiary in India. Kelly helped the companies understand the tax and accounting consequences on expanding their businesses overseas.
Before joining Elko & Associates Ltd in 2004, Kelly worked at Deloitte and Touche in Philadelphia as both an auditor and a tax accountant. While there, she focused on providing tax return preparation services, including U.S. federal, state and local income tax returns.
Kelly is currently working on her Law degree, which will focus on transnational business law. She is a frequent speaker at firm Continuing Professional Education (CPE) presentations, discussing topics such as International Tax, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Accounting for Equity Compensation (FAS 123R), Accounting for Income Taxes (FAS109) and Accounting for Uncertain Income Tax Positions (FIN 48).
Kelly lives in West Chester, PA with her husband John. Kelly enjoys traveling, running, biking, and golfing. She recently trained for three months and completed her first triathlon.
