Bio
With over 35 years of professional experience, Rick has gained vast experience in business consulting, attestation and tax compliance and has developed an area of professional concentration in business valuations and litigation support. After developing a strong reputation in these fields of expertise throughout the local business community, Rick joined the Elko team in 2002.
As Practice Area Leader for Business Valuation, he plays an integral role in the management and planning of all business valuation engagements. His department provides valuation services for a variety of purposes including: estate and gift tax planning, merger and acquisition consulting, succession planning, opinion of discounts, litigation support, and buy/sell agreements formalization. Rick also serves as Practice Area Leader for litigation support. He has qualified as an expert witness and has provided expert testimony in Philadelphia, Delaware, Chester and Montgomery Counties in Pennsylvania and in New Castle County, Delaware. In addition, he has provided services in the area of alternative dispute resolution (ADR).
Rick's career in accounting began in 1971 at a local firm in Delaware County. There, his hard work and dedication helped him progress from a staff member to managing shareholder in a relatively short period of time.
Rick shares his knowledge of valuation and litigation support through frequent speaking engagements. His informative presentations cover topics such as: how to value your business, how to increase the value of your business, understanding business valuations and valuations of small and family owned businesses for equitable distribution purposes.
Born and raised in Southwest Philadelphia, Rick currently resides in Garnet Valley, Pennsylvania. He has three children and is a proud grandfather. In his free time he enjoys golf, music, reading and being with family and friends.
