Customized Job Training Program (CJT) Grants for specialized job training to existing or newly hired employees.
Economic Advancement Program The Economic Advancement Program provides grants to promote economic development projects in Pennsylvania that, in the judgment of the Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED), are consistent with the authorizing legislation and these program guidelines, and meet all requirements of the DCED Single Application for Assistance.
Enterprise Zone Program Grants to financially disadvantaged communities for preparing and implementing business development strategies within municipal Enterprise Zones.

PennTAP The Pennsylvania Technical Assistance Program (PennTAP) helps Pennsylvania companies improve their competitiveness, by providing a limited amount of free technical assistance to resolve specific technical questions or needs, while it facilitates connections to other relevant information, resources and/or programs. PennTAP is a statewide network of geographically-dispersed technical specialists with expertise in a variety of focus areas, including advanced information technology, environmental compliance, energy efficiency and conservation, operations improvement, occupational safety and health, product development, federal Small Business Innovation Research/Small Business Technology Transfer proposal development, technology transfer and commercialization. The program focuses on smaller businesses that typically lack the expertise and/or resources to address these types of issues in-house.
Regional Investment Marketing The Regional Investment Marketing (RIM) Grant Program is intended to reinforce the linkages between state and regional efforts to promote business expansion and to attract new investment to Pennsylvania, and focus regional economic development efforts on industries and industry sub-sectors where the likelihood of success is greatest. More specifically, RIM is designed to foster a shared vision of the importance of marketing the Commonwealth as a whole as a destination of choice for investment and promoting the attributes and assets of individual regions within that context. In addition, the program is designed to advance an investor-oriented and data-driven approach to marketing to attract investment, including the use of regional marketing areas as an organizing principle in structuring marketing initiatives.
Regional Marketing Partnership Grant Program The purpose of the Regional Marketing Partnership Grant Program provides funding for sound marketing efforts and partnership development to promote Pennsylvania. Two types of grants are available: place-based and experience-based.
Solar Energy Program The Solar Energy Program provides financial assistance in the forms of grants and loan funds to promote the use of alternative energy in the Commonwealth. The program is administered jointly by the Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) and the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) under the direction of CFA.
Workforce Leadership Grants Improve the supply of, and create a pipeline for, technology based industries in Pennsylvania that will require highly skilled technical workers to compete in a globally competitive technology based economy.

Accredited Zoos Program The Accredited Zoos Program provides funding to Pennsylvania accredited zoos designated by the Association of Zoos & Aquariums. The mission of the Association of Zoos & Aquariums (AZA) Accreditation Commission is to establish, uphold, and raise the highest zoological and aquarium industry standards through self-evaluation, on-site inspection, and peer review.
Ben Franklin Technology Development Authority (BFTDA) -Technology Development Grant Grants to help groups or consortia of Pennsylvania companies position themselves at the cutting edge of emerging technologies and establish a competitive advantage through the use of advanced e-business systems.

Cultural Activities, Exhibits and Expositions The Cultural Activities, Exhibits and Expositions Program provides funding to support activities that positively stimulate the local and regional economy by promoting, sponsoring and/or operating cultural festivals, fairs and events. Cultural events promote the local tourism industry. By enhancing quality of life factors, communities are made more attractive to business relocation.
Festival Grant Program The Pennsylvania Festival Marketing Initiative is an initiative of the Pennsylvania Tourism Office in association with the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts (PCA). The goal of this initiative is to identify a roster of local and regional festivals and special events which can help Destination Marketing Organizations (DMO) to increase inbound traffic and overnight hotel stays in Pennsylvania’s seven tourism regions.
Keystone Innovation Grant Keystone Innovation Grants provide funding to encourage the technology transfer and commercialization of intellectual property between Pennsylvania’s technology-oriented businesses and entrepreneurs and Keystone Innovation Zone (KIZ)-participating Institutions of Higher Education (IHEs). The Keystone Innovation Grant program is a companion program to the Keystone Innovation Zone (KIZ) program.
Keystone Innovation Starter Kit Keystone Innovation Starter Kits are designed to recruit new, top-level research faculty to Pennsylvania academic medical centers and institutions of higher education to accelerate the development of a cluster of companies and employees in emerging and growing technology areas. The Starter Kit program is a companion program to the Keystone Innovation Zone (KIZ) program.
Keystone Innovation Zone (KIZ) Provide grant funds to community/university partnerships to generate job growth through tech transfer and entrepreneurship. Focused around campuses and property around college and universities.
Regional Film Office Program Funding is provided to Regional Film Offices that promote and facilitate film and television production in Pennsylvania as a means to increase economic activity and create jobs in the Commonwealth.
Tourism Promotion Assistance Grant Program The purpose of the Tourism Promotion Assistance Grant Program provides funding to supplement existing local destination marketing efforts by designated Tourism Promotion Agencies.
Tourist Product Development The Five-Year Strategic Tourism Plan 2010 highlighted Pennsylvania’s ability to attract a consistent flow of visitors year around, but also recognized a need to develop assets to help increase visitor length of stays. Reversing this trend is the commonwealth’s most pressing tourism opportunity and challenge. The Tourist Product Development Program provides funding to support and develop heritage assets, enhance outdoor recreation and support the growth or development of various events.

Agile Manufacturing The Agile Program uses the resources of Lehigh University to include professors, students, and equipment to help industry solve manufacturing issue and complex manufacturing processes.
DIGITAL AND ROBOTIC TECHNOLOGY The Technology Collaborative (TTC) was formed in January 2005 through the merger of the Pittsburgh Digital Greenhouse and the Robotics Foundry. TCC is a statewide economic development organization whose mission is to help increase Pennsylvania's technology-based economy through the development of collaborative industry clusters that leverage the region's world-class assets in advanced electronics, cyber security, and robotics. TTC helps to create an ideal environment for business expansion through leverage of the region's high-tech base, along with resources and support from local universities, private foundations, regional development organizations, federal, state, and local government, and industry. TCC enables regional economic growth through utilization of this "business friendly" environment to attract new companies to the region, help local companies grow, and foster start-ups. As a member-driven initiative, TTC delivers high-value-add programs and services that start-up and expansion businesses need. The services include: collaborative research, education and training, extensive business support, networking opportunities, and employee recruitment services.
Manufacturing and Business Assistance Program The Manufacturing and Business Assistance Program provides grants to promote manufacturing and other business sectors of Pennsylvania’s economy that, in the judgment of the Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED), comply with the provisions of the authorizing legislation and program guidelines, and meet all requirements of the DCED Single Application for Assistance.

Broadband Outreach & Aggregation Fund (BOAF) Grant assistance to qualified applicants to implement outreach programs concerning the benefits, use and procurement of broadband services as well as providing seed grants to aggregate customer demand in communities with little or no service so that the providers can respond to the new demand for services in a more timely fashion.BOAF Grants: Click to view a list of Grantees and a synopsis of their program.
Business Retention and Expansion Program (BREP) The Pennsylvania Business Retention Program (BREP) was established in 1997 to forge better working relationships and stronger collaboration among various public, private, state and local economic development organizations, with the goal of enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of efforts to retain and grow existing Pennsylvania businesses. The Pennsylvania Business Retention and Expansion Program is the most aggressive & job retention program in the country. Super Computer Center The Pittsburgh Supercomputer Center (PSC) is a federally-sponsored program operated by Carnegie Mellon University and Westinghouse Electric Company. The Supercomputing Center facilitates scientific and engineering research requiring high-performance computing. The Center also educates and trains researchers in computational sciences and associated fields. The state funds serve as match to the federal funds and provide for computer time to be made available to Pennsylvania private entities with large-scale computing needs. The PSC is funded by the National Science Foundation, the U.S. Department of Energy, the National Institutes of Health, and by private industry and the commonwealth. The PSC concentrates its efforts in three principal areas (economic development, education, and networking) with focal areas that include service and support, research, education and outreach, and human resource development. The PSC continues to provide a schedule of training seminars and computational programs and assistance for businesses and academic researchers at various levels.

Market Access Grant (MAG) Designed to enhance the capability of small and mid-sized Pennsylvania companies to increase export sales, the Pennsylvania Market Access Grant (MAG) is a valuable tool available to qualifying companies seeking financial assistance and foreign market entry support.

H2O PA - Flood Control Projects The H2O PA Act was established by the General Assembly in July 2008. The Act provides single-year or multi-year grants to the Commonwealth, independent agencies, municipalities or municipal authorities for flood control projects.

H2O PA - Water Supply, Sanitary Sewer and Storm Water Projects The H2O PA Act was established by the General Assembly in July 2008. The Act provides for single-year or multi-year grants to municipalities or municipal authorities to assist with the construction of drinking water, sanitary sewer and storm sewer projects.
High Performance Building Program The High Performance Building Program provides financial assistance in the forms of grants and loan funds to underwrite the cost premiums associated with the design and construction or major renovation of high performance buildings in the Commonwealth. The program is administered jointly by the Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) and the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) under the direction of CFA.
